Opening Scene - Carl and Sheen are walking down the sidewalk, Sheen is holding a big log of uncut baloney
Sheen: I’m telling you baloney is made by tiny baloney elves!
Carl: And I’m telling you baloney grows on mighty baloney trees!
Sheen stops and bends into Carl's face
Sheen: Does not!
Carl: Does too!
They stop and look up at the sound of Goddard flying towards them Jimmy’s voice comes out of him.
Jimmy: -Through Goddard's speaker- Hi guys
Carl: Oh no Goddard’s eaten Jimmy!
Jimmy: -Amused- Not quite Carl I’m on speaker phone from the lab.
The camera cuts to Jimmy inside his lab he’s looking at video feed of his friends from Goddard’s point of view.
Jimmy: I want you both to get your favorite video games and come over here.
As Jimmy speaks Sheen runs off, leaving his baloney behind.
Jimmy: I’ve got a new invention you’re gonna love! And it-
Jimmy is cut off by a panting Sheen forcing his way into the lab by prying the sliding doors open with his hands.
Jimmy: Hey! How’d you get here so quick?
Sheen: I already had a copy of “UltraLord vs RoboFiend: mega battle” in my pocket!
Jimmy: And you carry that around all the time?
Sheen: Uh, I don’t need too! I can stop whenever I want! I don’t have a problem!
Sheen’s hand shakes before he yells into the camera.
Jimmy: Not today you don’t. How would you, Sheen, like to fight side-by-side with UltraLord live and in person?
Jimmy grins as he presents the idea.
Sheen: -Gasp- Jimmy! I love you!
To Jimmy’s discomfort, Sheen starts to kiss his hand.
Jimmy: Behold the glory that is, the Neutronic Game Pyramid.
Sheen stands in front of said consol. It is taller than him by a decent amount, the top of the pyramid is a glowing purple light with the atom decal stenciled on and the very bottom has vertical fan vents.
Sheen: Oooh, pointy.
Sheen makes a triangle shape with his fingers as he turns to Jimmy.
Jimmy: It actually deconstructs your particles and inserts you into your favorite video game!
Jimmy turns back to his keyboard from his seat.
Jimmy: So as soon as Carl gets here-
Sheen: No! No! I wanna fight side by side with UltraLord now! Please Jimmy every moment I’m not fighting side by side with UltraLord is tearing me apart!
Jimmy: Okay, okay, okay! Insert the game and then stand on the transference pad.
Sheen inserts the disk into a previously unseen slot underneath is a purple button that says “RESET” below it. Music boots up and Sheens game is on the monitor screen. The top says “Mega Battletm” with silhouettes of UltraLord and RoboFiend’s head on either side. They say “start” and “options” respectively. In the center of the screen the name of each character is in big bold letters on either side of a stretched out “V” and smaller “s” and “.”
Jimmy: Oh, one more thing, this pyramid is only a prototype so in order to exit the game you have to win, so just be on the safe side I’ll start you out on level one.
Sheen: As UltraLord said in episode sixty-two, love, valor, UltraLord! Fractalize me!
Sheen turns to walk onto the game pad, which appears to have slide out from the pyramid base it has two standing platforms with black and white swirling decals. But instead of walking smoothly Sheen trips and falls in making him crash into the game when the text “new battle buddy” flashes in front of his landing spot.
He screams and lands with a thud.
Sheen: Aaaaaah, oof.
A cyan blue “P1” floats over Sheens head, the animation is now blockier and shiny to emulate PlayStation and Xbox games of the era. Sheen sits up eagerly.
Sheen: Awesome! I’m actually on the Ultra-Planetoid!
UltraLord shows up behind Sheen also in the smooth shiny style he’s in his purple suit.
UltraLord: Greetings life form, I’m about to engage RoboFiend in pitched combat. Would you like to be my battle buddy?
Sheen: B-b-battle buddy? me?
Sheen points to himself stunned.
UltraLord: Answer quickly! My Ultra-Senses tell me that RoboFiend is approaching!
Sheen turns around grinning as he speaks to himself UltraLord begins to strike poses.
Sheen: At last, my long years of watching TV have paid off. Let evil tremble for none can withstand the awesome the awesome might that is UltraLord and his new battle buddy UltraSheeeeen!
As Sheen rambled, he missed RoboFiend walking up to the distracted UltraLord and vaporizing him. As Sheen turns back striking a battle pose, he sees the pile of ashes topped by the UltraLord helmet that was once his hero. RoboFiend steps on the smoking piles of remains and roars at Sheen. He then takes a claw and screws Sheen into the ground till just his head is left exposed.
Sheen looks at the camera while RoboFiend laughs.
Sheen: Okay that could’ve gone better.
In the Lab Jimmy is monitoring his friends progress through the monitor.
Jimmy: Oh Sheen! -Huff- now he’s trapped in there. Oh well I’m sure he can’t possibly lose twice on level one.
Sheen: -Through the screen- Hey look at me! I’m head growing outta the ground man!
Jimmy: Or maybe I better give him a hand.
Jimmy gets out of his seat and stands on the game pad, he presses the purple reset button, hands on hips.
“Game over” dissolves from the screen and is replaced by “New Battle Buddy” Sheen once again falls into screen screaming.
Sheen: Aaaaaah, oof. Hey! What happened! I’m free!
Jimmy phases next to him also in the blocky style. He has a green “P2” floating above his head.
Jimmy: That’s because I pressed reset; I couldn’t let you get stuck in here.
Sheen: Sorry Jimmy seeing UltraLord in all his shining glory distracted me so.
UltraLord: Greetings lifeforms!
UltraLord has returns standing over them tall and imposingly.
UltraLord: I’m about to engage RoboFiend in pitched combat would you like to be my battle buddies?
Sheen is nodding excitedly while Jimmy is looking on worriedly. Sheen nudges Jimmy on the shoulder.
Sheen: He always says that.
He jumps into a battle stance.
Sheen: Get ready Jimmy RoboFiend’s about to get Ultra wiped!
Jimmy shakes his head amused at his friend’s antics.
Carl is in his room looking at his many llama themed video games on his shelf.
Carl: Oh, my favorite video game? Oh no, no, no it’s too much pressure.
He pulls out a game with a llama dressed in ninja garb who’s on the moon wearing a glass bubble while he holds a sword.
Carl: Ninja llama’s in space? Eh no.
He tosses it aside and pulls out a new title. The cover displays a grey llama in a flaming fighting ring with a dingo.
Carl: Llama vs mega dingo? Eh -Gasp- of course!
He tosses away the fighting game and pulls out a game with a smiling sun in the corner a rainbow and a field of flowers that the llama is standing in.
Carl: Llamapalooza! Oh, love you most of all.
He rubs the game against his face and kisses the cover tenderly.
Atom scene change- back in the game RoboFiend is lurching forward his mechanical parts wiring as he shudders towards them.
Sheen, UltraLord and Jimmy all get in fighting stances.
RoboFiend: Prepare to taste photons, cosmic avengers!
Jimmy: Okay Sheen here’s the plan.
Sheen: Jimmy please, may I remind you this is level one.
Just after he gets the words out RoboFiend spins his claw while its open allowing a photon beam to come out of his claw and towards the three. Sheen jumps up and flips multiple times getting into different fighting poses including picking his nose before landing behind the robotic villain. He turns around and spots the on off switch on RoboFiend’s back. Jumping up, he flips the switch to off. RoboFiend groans before powering down, unable to move. Sheen then stands and examines his nails, prideful of his accomplishment.
Sheen: He’s all yours, encased crusader.
UltraLord then lifts RoboFiend by his torso and has his fist primed for the punch. Above both of them are multicolored health bars.
UltraLord: Hey, RoboFiend. Hold this for me.
He hits RoboFiend up into the sky the grey text outlined with glowing purple that appears reads “YOU WIN!”.
Jimmy: Wow, Sheen! That was awesome!
Sheen: The scent of victory is pungent!
Sheen has one foot on a rock as he points victoriously into the sky. He then smells his armpits.
Sheen: Or is that just me?
Back in the lab Carl has walked in through the door his game disk in hand.
Carl: Hey Jimmy, the lab door was open, so I came in-eh -Gasp-
Carl notices the game screen on the monitor and runs up to Jimmy’s chair. On screen UltraLord is posed heroically flexing as he moves while Jimmy and Sheen are mimicking him
Carl: Oh wow! It’s RoboFiend mega battle featuring Jimmy and Sheen! This must be the surprise Jimmy had!
Carl starts to look around the lab for his friends not realizing that they are in the game.
Carl: Hey Jimmy, where are you? Can I play your new game?
He scans the whole lab the camera serving as his point of view before he turns back to the screen.
Carl: I guess he went to the little inventor’s room. Well I’m sure he won’t mind.
Carl then sits behind the keyboard on Jimmy’s chair and starts messing with the game. The level select menu pops up revealing that they are on level one to Carl.
Carl: Level one? Come on that’s for babies. -snort- let’s try level seven!
He alters the level with the keyboard and presses play the text “New Battle Buddy!” appears once again.
In game Sheen falls to the ground again with another scream and Jimmy assembles in coolly and calmly. Jimmy’s smile fades to a frown as he realizes that they’re in the game again.
Sheen: Aaaaah! Oof.
Jimmy: But-ehuh- I don’t get it. We won the game we should’ve exited already.
UltraLord shows up again towering over them.
UltraLord: Greetings lifeforms, I’m about to engage RoboFiend in pitched combat would you like to be my Battle Buddies?
Sheen looks excited to fight another battle with his hero while Jimmy is decidedly less so.
Jimmy: Leaping Leptons! The game’s reset itself!
UltraLord: Answer quickly! My Ultra-Senses tell me that RoboFiend is approaching!
Sheen: No problemo I can kick RoboFiend’s level one butt all day long!
The proud standing UltraLord is knocked over by RoboFiend, RoboFiend then bends over into their faces and screams loudly at them.
Sheen':' Or not.
RoboFiend: Taste magma cosmic avengers!
Sheen who was just standing there in shock had to be torn from his spot by Jimmy as RoboFiend shoots magma onto the spot where he used to be standing. They hide behind a rock cowering behind it, so he doesn’t see them.
Sheen: Jimmy! Something’s wrong! RoboFiend doesn’t get a magma canon until level five! Someone must have raised the game level, but who?!
As Sheen speaks RoboFiend is looking behind other rocks behind them tossing them around once his search is fruitless. When Sheen say’s five he holds up three fingers.
After Sheen asks who could have changed the game level him and Jimmy both realize and look at each other.
Jimmy and Sheen: Carl!
They look at through the screen at Carl who's just sitting there in the lab.
Jimmy: Carl stop! It’s not a game!
Sheen: We’re really in danger!
In the lab Carl whose still watching eagerly hasn’t grasped the severity of the situation.
Carl: Wow the characters know my name! -Snort- talk about interactive.
He starts to examine the keyboard.
Carl: Hmm I wonder if this game has the RoboFiend atomic breath feature?
In game RoboFiend is scanning the terrain for Jimmy and Sheen. He has a number of stats in his view on the tops it says that he is searching while the bottom has his health state (100%) as well as a picture of him in the center and some of his attacks listed to the right.
He scans some rocks at first skipping the rock Jimmy and Sheen are behind, its obvious due to their floating player registers, and going straight to the next rock. But then he turns back, and his system targets the rock. The searching stat now reading “TARGETING.”
RoboFiend: Hahaha!
In the lab Carl presses a random button on the keyboard. RoboFiend then spits out a noxious cloud of green gas that dissolved the boulder the pair were standing behind.
Jimmy: Ah atomic breath!
Sheen: -Cough- gross!
Sheen plugs his nose while Jimmy tries to fan the stench away. RoboFiend reels back and scream blasts another blanket of atomic breath. Sheen and Jimmy curl away covering their faces as they await the stench. But it never hits them.
UltraLord: Behind me battle buddies!
In front of them is UltraLord holding a big shield keeping the stench cloud away from them. Above them are their health bars, all at full, the top one is UltraLord’s but then it is followed by Sheen’s and then Jimmy’s.
Sheen: Don’t worry Jimmy were okay as long as UltraLord’s shields hold.
In the lab Carl is once again watching the game.
Carl: Hmm those shields look kind of strong, I better drain them!
Carl pulls a lever on the side of Jimmy’s control panel and instantly UltraLord’s energy and shield stats start to plummet. His purple and yellow shield collapsing away.
UltraLord only has the time to be surprised for a minute before RoboFiend vomits magma onto him, UltraLord bends backwards before falling forward his entire body blackened by soot.
Burnt UltraLord: Arg! That’s going to leave an Ultra-Bruise!
He then shudders falling backwards with a metallic clang, Jimmy and Sheen lean over him in concern.
Sheen: UltraLord! Noooo!
Sheen cries into the sky his voice echoing around.
In the lab Carl is excitedly dancing to himself.
Carl: Oh yeah! I’m bad! I defeated UltraLooord!
He grins evilly before pausing and his face falling back to normal.
Carl: And yet I feel strangely empty inside. Maybe its cause this game doesn’t have any llamas?
Carl holds up his copy of Llamapooloza at she asks that.
In the Game Sheen is still sobbing over UltraLord.
Sheen: It’s all my fault. I’m a baaad battle buddy.
Jimmy: If only we had more power!
Sheen: You’d have to capture an Ultra-Crystal to get a mega powered level boost!
Jimmy: Ultra-Crystals of course. Okay Sheen can you distract RoboFiend for me?
Sheen: Leave it to me battle buddy!
Sheen salutes some of his normal energy having returned.
RoboFiend is looking under a rock when Sheen starts distracting him.
Sheen: Hey! RoboLoser!
Sheen jumps up in the air as RoboFiend looks up at him. Jimmy is still behind a rock.
Sheen: Is that the rotting carcass of a ragilian mole rat I smell? Or is that just your RoboFunk!
Sheen points accusingly as he taunts RoboFiend before he then decides to just shoot homing missiles at Sheen. Sheen’s knees knock together in fear for a moment.
Sheen: Ah!
He dives out of the way of each missile. The all were spiraling and narrowly missing him. Over by the field of rocks Jimmy is looking for the Ultra-Crystal by pulling up the rocks and looking.
Sheen: Aaaaaah!
Sheen runs in the background being chased by RoboFiend.
Jimmy: If I were a game programmer, where would I hide an Ultra-Crystal?
He lifts another rock only to be met with the snapping maw of a rattle snake.
Jimmy: Ah!
He jumps back and drops the rock on the snake.
Sheen: AAAAH!
Sheen is still running from RoboFiend.
Jimmy watches in apprehension before knocking into a stalagmite and breaking it open, inside is an Ultra-Crystal.
Jimmy: Ha of course! It’s always under the stalagmites!
He snatches it up and runs towards sheen who is being pinned into a wall by a cackling RoboFiend.
Jimmy: Sheen! Catch!
Jimmy tosses the crystal at Sheen as he continues to run closer. Sheen runs out from RoboFiend’s threatening gaze and towards the Crystal.
Sheen: I got it! I got it!
The Crystal hits him in the forehead and he stumbles to the ground. It turns end of end before RoboFiend snatches it up with his claw.
RoboFiend: Fool! You have helplessly fallen to who now and forever shall be known as-
He starts to grow larger and larger until he’s as big as a skyscraper.
Mega RoboFiend: Mega RoboFiend!
Sheen who’s now standing short on the ground looks up at the mighty foe.
Sheen: You know you might wanna think about consoling I’m picking up some self-esteem issues and it’s reall- ah!
RoboFiend tries to stomp on Sheen before he runs out of the way.
In the lab Carl is holding his game disk
Carl: Ah llamapalooza!
He inserts it into the game pyramid disk slot and starts to be phased into the game with the same glowing blue and purple light.
In the game Sheen has been grabbed by the back of his shirt by RoboFiend, he is trying desperately to escape but the villain simply picks him up as if he weighs nothing and holds Sheen close to his face.
Mega RoboFiend: Now face the fury of my Omni-blasts! What the?
A rumbling in the distance cuts him off. The screen has a cheerful rounded border with a number of llamas faces on it. And in the screen is a stampede of llama’s being led by carl riding a llama. The text “IT’S LLAMA TIME!!” is on screen.
The stampede trips up RoboFiend making him trip and drop sheen onto the back of Carl’s llama.
Carl: Sheen where are we?
Sheen: Ride Carl! Ride like the wind!
Elsewhere in the level Jimmy is looking for another Crystal.
Jimmy: There must be another Ultra-Crystal around here someplace!
He lifts a rock and like before there is a rattle snake but there is something different about this one. Instead of a rattle is has a Crystal in its tail.
Realizing this Jimmy goes around the other side of the rock and picks up the Crystal from the snake. It hisses at him for a brief moment mad at the theft before the rock falls back onto it.
Jimmy: Yes!
He starts running to Carl and Sheen.
Jimmy: Sheen! Heads up!
He tosses the crystal at Sheen who jumps off of his llama stead and catches the Crystal. As he stands up from his landed pose energy races up and down his body in bright light.
Sheen: Power coursing through my cuticles! Power enough to transform Ultra sheen into-
The screen puts the words mega level power boost on the screen one after the other on the screen with his and Robofiends health bars. Sheen himself has grown to be as tall as RoboFiend.
Mega Ultra Sheen: Mega Ultra Sheen!
RoboFiend spins his claw and shoots an energy beam at sheen, as a rebuttal sheen fires his own blast of blue energy at RoboFiend. the two beams goes back and forth the spot where they match up altering.
Mega Ultra Sheen: Our power’s to evenly matched! Good thing I know your one true weakness.
Mega RoboFiend: Nooo!
Mega Ultra Sheen: Yes! The European directors cut of UltraLord episode three seventeen reveals that his arch enemy RoboFiend is lactose intolerant!
He picks up a llama.
Mega Ultra Sheen: Taste llama milk star destroyer!
Sheen blasts RoboFiend with llama milk.
Mega RoboFiend: No! I’m allergic aaaah!
RoboFiend runs away and then explodes. UltraLord who’s now much smaller than Sheen flies around him, While Sheen spins the llama he’s holding and puts it in his pocket.
UltraLord: Well, done battle buddies! Join me again next time in the never-ending battle against evil!
RoboFiend’s giant head falls on him.
UltraLord: Aarg!
In the lab the pyramid glows and out walk Jimmy and Sheen.
Sheen: Whew there’s no way I’m ever, ever playing that game again till next week.
Sheen rubs the back of his neck.
Jimmy: Well I guess my prototype needs a little more work. It’s a good thing you came through with those llamas Carl. You know we-we- Carl?
Jimmy looks around before Sheen points to something in the lab horrified.
Sheen: Jimmy look!
Sheen points to the monitor display, Carl is still in the game riding a llama in the Ultra-Planetoid.
Carl: Llamapalooza! Llamapalooza! Yay!
Sheen is clutching his face in fear.
Sheen: We’ve gotta get him out right away!
Jimmy: Maybe we’ll just let him stay there, till after lunch.
Sheen: Okay. Got any baloney?
Jimmy and Sheen walk away Jimmy shaking his head in amusement as Carl continues singing what he had been while the other two were speaking.
Carl: ♪♪♪Lla-lla-lla-llamapalooza Lla-lla-lla-llamapalooza! Llama llama Hey!♪♪♪
He continues singing to the tune of the Mexican Hat song until the episode ends.
