"Professor Calamitous, I Presume" is the 14th. episode in The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.

Synopsis

Professor Finbarr Calamitous, who can never finish anything, plots to take over Retroville, with some help from it's resident boy genius. He steals Goddard and holds him for ransom in order to lure Jimmy into a trap. Can Jimmy and Goddard stop Calamitous before it's too late?

Sheen: Oh. Sorry Carl, what were you saying about Ms. Fowl?

Carl: Nothing. Never mind.


Hugh: You're a chimney sweep. Oh that's just grand! like the guy in the movie! Do you sing and dance?

Professor Calamitous: That costs extra!

Hugh: Oh, it always does! Never mind.

  • Running Gag: Other characters finishing Professor Calamitous's sentences.
  • The newspapers recall the events from When Pants Attack, Normal Boy, Birth of a Salesman, Brobot, Granny Baby and Jimmy on Ice
  • This is the only episode Cindy appears as a background character.
  • Hugh asking if Professor Calamitous (who he believes is a chimney sweep) will sing and dance is a reference to Mary Poppins.
  • This is the third episode where Jimmy and Cindy don't fight or antagonize each other. The first was Hypno-Birthday To You, the second was Safety First, the next is Nightmare in Retroville, the fifth is My Big Fat Spy Wedding, and the sixth is Lady Sings the News.
  • Professor Calamitous' line when exiting the robot suit is a reference to The Wizard of Oz.
  • In this episode, we find out Goddard preforms 11,000,004 tricks.
  • It is likely that both Professor Calamitous and Carl think that Ms. Fowl looks pretty "in the right light".
    • This episode and Beach Party Mummy are the only episodes to hint at Carl's possible crush on Miss Fowl.
  • The flying machine that Jimmy uses is the same one that Sheen used in the movie.

  • Goof: In some shots inside Professor Calamitous' robot, his voice is still under the deepened effect.
  • Although this episode was released in 2003, you can actually see "Copyright 2002 Viacom International, Inc." at the end of the credits. This march mean that this episode was produced in 2002.
