Professor Finbarr Calamitous is a brilliant evil scientist and Jimmy Neutron's arch-nemesis (alongside King Goobot V) in the Nickelodeon animated Jimmy Neutron franchise. He has appeared in The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, the crossover special Jimmy Timmy Power Hour 2: When Nerds Collide and the crossover video games Nicktoons Unite! and Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots.
When Calamitous was a kid, he attended Lindbergh Elementary School and was Ms. Fowl's student. He was brilliant but always failed because he could never finish anything. One day, he disappeared after not finishing his lunch. Many years later, he met and married a woman and they had a child together, Beautiful Gorgeous. Mrs. Calamitous left the family after her daughter was born, the exact circumstances of her departure is unknown. With the wife out of the picture, the single-dad raised his daughter to be evil.
He often wears a lab coat, long black gloves, and eyeglasses. Calamitous has gray hair and a mustache. Calamitous has a robot suit called the CalamiBot, which he has used as a bodyguard and as a disguise.
He lives in a two-story house with a large enough basement for his lab of incomplete inventions.
Calamitous is tiny, near-sighted, eccentric, but very forgetful old genius, who is one of the most brilliant evil minds on the planet, and he would be more dangerous if he didn't have the bad habit of never finishing what he starts. Calamitous is determined to get Jimmy to finish his projects for him because he cannot finish them himself.
Once, Calamitous was an intelligent child who never finished anything, from food to sentences to homework to inventions. His inability to finish things lead him to always failing his school work as noted by Ms. Fowl which strengthens the idea he was held back. Later on, he overcomes this and is heard completing sentences after he took a self-help class. Calamitous seems to like Ms. Fowl, as he was about to compliment her until Jimmy cut him off.
According to Jorgen Von Strangle, he has poor listening skills, as he repeatedly ignored Jorgen trying to tell him that he can't kill people using magic. Only when he tried to kill Jimmy he learned of DA Rules despite Jorgen's nagging.
He is also the final boss in "Nicktoons Unite!" and "Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots," where he faced (besides Jimmy and Timmy) Danny, SpongeBob and other heroes, and he appeared in 2006 PC Video Game Called Nicktoons Winners Cup Racing as an Unlocked Playable Character by winning the Grand Prix mode, you'll be able to unlock multiple villains to against, such as Plankton, Mr. Crocker, and Vlad Plasmius, or you could open other tracks to drive on, such as challenge levels. In a race, Powerups can be acquired other racers. Some of the courses are based directly on the characters in the game. Mini-games is available, but players have to unlock them before they can play them.
- Even after taking the self-help class, there are still times where Calamitous may not finish things as he admits to not finishing the class. Since he also stated that he meant to finish, it is possible that after "Operation: Rescue Jet Fusion," he did make up for the session he missed and has now completely overcome it.
- His voice sounds deeper when he is using his robot.
- Despite being the main antagonist of the TV series, Calamitous doesn't appear much.
- He is only seen in eight episodes.
- Calamitous may be in his 50s, 60s or early 70s.
- It’s unknown about his wife she is either divorced or she’s deceased.
- He has a daughter named Beautiful Gorgeous.
