How to Sink a Sub is the first segment of the 19th episode of the third season of The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.

Plot[]

When Jimmy sends the teachers into Hyperspace for a week and the whole school gets the place to themselves, things get a lot worse. Jimmy, Carl and Sheen's parents are substitutes, and they embarrass them (minus Carl). Jimmy tries to build a raging hormone bottle to rebel against the parents, but the plan backfires when the parents drink it instead and run amuck through the school. The teachers find a way back to the school via a button in the glove compartment. They get to the school in time and put the parents in their place, but Jimmy is still being punished for sending them into space, Jimmy argued with the teachers, but Ms Fowl forces him to double time, Jimmy knew they were being very selfish and over-reacting.

Trivia[]

  • Jimmy's baby picture looks like his prototype, Johnny Quasar: Boy Genius. This was also seen in a series of Nickelodeon trading cards.
  • This is the last episode to not feature romantic moments between Jimmy and Cindy.
  • This is the third and last episode Goddard only appears in one shot. The first was Operation: Rescue Jet Fusion. The second is "Flippy".
  • The music where the kids in Lindbergh Elementary were partying at the school and Jimmy's, Sheen's, and Carl's parents come in sounds similar to "We Got the Beat" by The Go-Go's. The song previously appeared in "Party at Neutron's" and Jimmy Timmy Power Hour.
  • Although Bolbi appears in this episode, he does not speak at all.
  • Ebenezer Wheezer can be seen running naked in the hallway behind Hugh and Judy when they are shooting spit balls at the kids.
  • For some strange reason, Sam Melvick can be seen talking to Carl in the background of the school halls, when Hugh and Judy are shooting spit balls at the kids. It's unknown why Sam was in the school.
  • Principal Willoughby mentions someone called "Harvey Werkstein"; obviously a parody of Harvey Weinstein.
  • Ms. Fowl mentions that she has been teaching for 74 years as of this episode, assuming she has been teaching since her 20's, she may be close to 100 years old, which is likely impossible at that age for teachers to be still teaching.
  • Principal Willoughby gives Jimmy 900 days of detention and Jimmy is in fifth grade. By the time he finishes detention, he will be in eighth grade. Which also means he will be 14 years old because of the fact that you are 11 years old in fifth grade, elementary school only goes from kindergarten to the sixth grade, so his time in detention for 900 would have been shorten down to either 300 or 400 days, because after the sixth grade he would be in Middle School at that time, so giving him 900 days in detention while he's in the fifth grade while he has only two grades left in Elementary school doesn't make any sense, unless he repeats the sixth grade twice or his time in detention would change if he get's suspended from school.
